2022 Mount Rozier Reserve "Beekeeper" Chenin Blanc

Earn your (black and yellow) stripes with this South African white. Our 2022 Mount Rozier Reserve “Beekeeper” Chenin Blanc is striking in the glass, glimmering with a pale lime hue. Fruity yet complex, this white offers aromas of yellow stone fruit, ripe tropical fruit, and fragrant white blossoms. On the palate, the tropical acidity gives way to winter fruit like white peach and pink lady apples. The finish is medium-short, with a delicate spritz of citrus on the tail end. The Chenin Blanc grapes that make up this Mount Rozier “Beekeeper” were hand-harvest at optimum ripeness from old Swartland bush vines on the Western Cape. The winemakers crushed the grapes with minimal skin contact before separating the juice and racking it from its primary lees. The primary fermentation lees were allowed to mature for another three months to create a fuller mouthfeel and more layered complexity than your average white wine.
